Roy’s primary area of practice is Real Estate, Construction, Banking and Finance. He handles a large variety of transactions including advisory work on construction and infrastructure, regulatory compliance and structuring of debt financing. Acting for Sustainable Housing Solutions Holdings Pte Ltd in their acquisition of a local company in Kenya for purposes of building affordable social housing in furtherance of the Kenyan Government’s Big 4 Agenda. Part of the team that advised Trademark East Africa Limited (TMEA), a Kenyan company funded by the Department of the International Development for the British Government and in respect of their funding under Grant and Finance Agreements with the Kenya Revenue Authority for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of an integrated Customs Management system (iCMS) and related modernization services at Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). Part of the team that advised and acted for International Container Terminal Services Incorporated (“ICTSI“) - a leading international port developer and operator in respect of a Joint Venture with a local company for the purposes of submitting a PPP bid for the Selection of the Concessionaire for Phase 1 of the Second Container Terminal Port of Mombasa, Kenya. Part of the team that successfully represented the International Container Terminal Services Incorporated (“ICTSI“), before the High Court (Judicial review) and the PPP Petition Committee (Petition) in a dispute relating to Public Private Partnership with the Kenya Ports Authority, with respect to the Selection of the Concessionaire for Phase 1 of the Second Container Terminal Port of Mombasa, Kenya. Acting for Kenya Fluorspar Company Limited in their agreement with Kenya Ports Authority to improve a sufferance wharf and to build a new ship loading system at the Port of Mombasa, Kenya
