Biography

Patrice Geoffron holds a PhD in industrial economics and is a professor at University Paris-Dauphine, where he was interim president (2020) and international vice-president. He was also the founding director of the Laboratoire d'Économie de Dauphine (LEDa). For the past fifteen years, he has specialised in the evaluation of investments in environmental transition and its new economic models (renewable electricity, green gas, hydrogen, sustainable IT, smart grids, decarbonised mobility, etc.). Among other responsibilities, he is a member of the Scientific Council the CEA, Engie and the CRE, as well as the Cercle des Économistes. Previously, he was a member of the World Council of the International Association for Energy Economics, and an expert on the Citizens' Climate Convention.
