Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Société Générale

Séverin Cabannes has been Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale group since May 2008., Since May 2018, he supervises the Global Banking and Investor Solutions activities. He was previously in charge of control functions and Group resources., Séverin Cabannes started his career in 1983 at Crédit National as a financial analyst. From 1986 to 1997, he held different positions at Elf Atochem. In 1997, Séverin Cabannes joined La Poste Group and in 1998 was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of La Poste Group. In 2001, he joined Societe Generale group as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Management Committee. In 2002, he joined Stéria Group as Deputy CEO and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2003. In January 2007, Séverin Cabannes rejoined Societe Generale group as Chief Administrative Officer and member of the Management Committee., Séverin Cabannes is a graduate of the École Polytechnique and the École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris.
